How soon will I see results?
Some patients notice a subtle tightening effect once the initial swelling has settled, usually within 1–2 weeks. However, the most noticeable improvements develop gradually over the following 2–3 months as new collagen is produced and the skin continues to tighten.
How long do results last?
Results from a single treatment can last up to 1 year. If your practitioner recommends a course of treatment to achieve the best possible outcome, results can last up to 3 years. As the skin continues to age naturally, occasional maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve your results.
Is there pain or downtime?
Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. You may experience temporary warmth, tenderness, redness, or a sensation similar to sunburn afterwards. Numbing is used before treatment to improve comfort. Discomfort is usually minimal, although most patients experience around 3–5 days of visible downtime while the treated area heals.
How long is each session?
The treatment itself takes approximately 20–30 minutes. Including your consultation, preparation, numbing, and aftercare, please allow around 60–90 minutes for your appointment. This includes buffer time so you do not feel rushed and have ample opportunity to ask questions.
How far apart are sessions?
If additional sessions are required, they are typically scheduled 8–12 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal completely and give collagen enough time to rebuild and tighten the treated area.
Who is not suitable?
This treatment may not be suitable for everyone. Contraindications include: Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infections, cold sores or open wounds, eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis in the treatment area, recent Isotretinoin use, poor wound healing or keloid scarring, certain autoimmune disorders affecting healing, recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure, photosensitising medications or medical conditions.
